Little Forest Playschool promotes diversity by welcoming children of all races, ethnicities, primary languages, income levels, and physical abilities. LFPS accepts new children on an annual basis. Mid-year placements occur only as spaces become available. Please inquire with the Director for mid-year enrollment.

BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR REGISTRATION PACKAGE – READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY!!

The following conditions apply to all registrations

• Children must be 2yrs old before June 1^st to enroll for the summer
• Children must be 2yrs old by September 1^st to enroll for the fall. They will be placed in the age appropriate classroom.
• Childcare is defined as any schedule including 2 or more days per week containing the 9:00-3:00 time block, excluding kindergartners.
• Class-time only is defined as 9-12 in every classroom. If you want class-time only in rooms 1, 3, or 4 you must attend class 5 days a week.
• Change of schedule fees will be charged for any changes made after the initial registration (please see parent handbook for further explanation). Any time during the registration period you may add time to your existing schedule in the same room at no charge.
• A child may not be registered in two different classes. If a child is enrolled in two separate classes they will be dropped from both and will be put on a waiting list.

Room 2 Guidelines

• Preference will be given to younger children in the TTH classes and to older children in the MWF classes.
• Room 2 does not run in the summer. You may register for summer in other classrooms during the Open registration.

Summer policies and guidelines

• Tuition will be charged in 2 equal payments for 5 weeks each. The summer is 11 weeks long. You will only be charged for 10 weeks or 5 weeks if you enroll for 1 session, allowing for a 1 week vacation credit. No other vacation credit will be given.
• If you register for the summer and then withdraw:
  • After May 1^st but before the beginning of the 1^st summer session you will be charged ½ tuition for the summer.
  • During the 1^st summer session you will be charged ¾ of the 1^st session tuition.
  • Anytime during the 2^nd session you will be charged for both sessions.
• Children who are enrolled for the summer, but who are on the waiting list for the fall, will have priority on the fall waiting list.

During the windstorm Saturday night, a tree near the front gate snapped in two about 20 feet above the ground.  The top of the tree fell across the entrance sidewalk and the eastern fence.  Victor’s Lawn Service cleared the sidewalks and have begun the cleanup process.  Parents should stay alert to the possibility of falling branches from some of the other trees near the school’s entrance. Another large tree in the back was also leaning heavily and it was decided to take it down for safety sake.
